I ordered 2 items, a setting spray and a kit that came with a foundation, primer and powder. I never really shop at Sephora but I really wanted to try this foundation and setting spray. I got the kit because it was only a few dollars more than the foundation itself. When my order arrived, the shipping box looked fine and was not damaged at all. Then when I opened the box, the kit looked like it was tampered so I went to pick it up and the primer and powder fell right out and the cap to the powder was unscrewed and there was NO foundation! I checked the setting spray and the cap was also off and it felt like it was only 75% full. None of the items were sealed at all. I had an Ulta order that same day for 20 items and they all came sealed so you could tell nothing was opened. I contacted customer service and was informed that they would send me another kit, free of charge and 2 more sample products for the inconvenience. A week later and nothing, checked the status of the order and it was still in processing status. For my original order I had paid extra for 2 day shipping and it's been about 2 weeks now and 50% of my order (because I only ordered 2 products) still hasn't arrived! I contacted customer service again and asked them to just refund me and coincidentally 2 hours later my order shipped, then I got an email saying they couldn't refund me anymore because it already shipped. 2 days later I got the package and guess what? The kit was opened and there was again NO foundation and no sample products. Was so annoyed I didn't even bother with contacting customer service again. Will just get it from Amazon, sad that Amazon is more reliable than an actual makeup store.

Will never buy from Sephora again

I ordered 20 items on 4/18 from Sephora, totaling $451. I received them on 4/22. I kept 5 out of the 20 items and, on 4/23, I returned 15 items. I did not take a picture of the items I returned; I simply placed them all in ONE box and sent them back with the return slip inside the box via USPS, as per Sephora’s instructions.
It is now 5/12, and after several phone calls with Sephora, I am being told that only 4 of the 15 items were received in the box and those are the only items for which I will be receiving a refund. I have elevated this to the supervisory and managerial level at Sephora but I was basically told that since there is no photographic proof on my part that I actually placed all 15 items in the box, it is their word against mine that I did not return all the items that I listed on the return slip. So, I am now out over $300 for items I did not keep!
I am at a loss (quite literally). I honestly never thought to take a photo of the items. And, had this not happened during a pandemic, I probably would have returned these items at my local Sephora store instead of shipping them back. However, due to Covid-19, I thought it'd be safer to send the return back via mail. But now I'm being penalized. Needless to say, I will continue to fight this matter as much as I can, but it is degrading to be treated as a liar and a thief, and it is also time-consuming and just plain irrational! I have never been treated like this as a repeat customer in good standing.
Sadly, I will boycott Sephora from now on. I would rather shop at Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s, where there is TRUE customer service.

They deliver delicate items in an oversized box with no protection. When I complained they offered to replace it but I have to go to the post office to send back their damaged item. Too much of a hassle. Next time I will just go to Ulta! Thanks but no thanks Sephora!

Is Sephora reliable?

If Sephora is reliable, they are great products, great service, fast delivery, super reliable in my opinion and I recommend it.

I would give no stars if I could

I am a "rouge" level customer of Sephora and recently encountered a problem with a $20 eyeliner they sell. The in-store manager refused to provide an exchange due to my purchase greater than 60 days ago. I just opened this eyeliner in the past month, very little product was used. Deplorable customer service!

The card should be great but the whole payment situation sucks. It never lets me log in to my account .. ever! I wish they had an app to make it easier! It’s ridiculous! I will be closing it today.

Customer service like a BOSS

I'm a member with Sephora. Com/ Sephora app and make small purchases here and there online or in the app and I recently had ordered an eyeshadow pallet that my mailman delivered to the incorrect address and the post office clung to the answer being I likely entered my shipping address incorrectly and was then asked for my address to confirm. I recited it to clerk and said that I am using the wrong apartment number so my package was delivered to the incorrect address and since I am the one who entered the wrong number, I'm the one at fault and the package is gone... I emailed Sephora and explained my problem and the resent my item at no cost to me and with free shipping included... I also received a very sympathic letter expressing their concerns for my feelings and sent a follow-up email to survey my experience with the support team.
Sephora may be high $$$ spectrum but when it comes to quality merchandise that does what the label advertises it's usually worth every penny.
There are also all kinds of sales and coupons for a little break on your wallet.

Not accessible to everyone in terms of prices policy

Like sephora store for their interior design and convenience but some brands are majorly overpriced here

Shame on you. Have more class Sephora

If I could give a zero, I would. That was a very poor decision discriminating against a conservative Christian (Amanda) just because her views don't align with yours. She is not invoking violence, nor is what she posted a reason to be treated the way you have treated her. It is unacceptable to lie your way through this one just because you're afraid of catering to all AMERICANS. Since when do you get punished in America at your workplace for having views that differ from them? FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND OPINION is what AMERICA was founded on. I have been a VIB since 2010 and I will not be shopping here anymore. I have spent $1000's and I regret it. I have also let all my friends know what has happened to bring awareness and they too will no longer be shopping at Sephora. I hope that your conservative employees boycott you as well!

Hi. I'm a conservative Christian. I guess this means I "hate" everyone which is father from the truth. I have friend's and family that's a part of the LGBTQ community. Yes, conservative Christians and the LGBTQ community gets along if you allow us to.
To side with one party is disgusting.
Makeup and beauty is for EVERYONE. Of every race, color and religion. Ben Nye is famous for his product's. He doesn't get political. Neither should Sephora. If there is gay beauty consultant that uses Sephora? Christian beauty consultant should be held in the same regard.
Get your priorities right! You don't want me but, you sure want my money. No thanks

What a bunch of COWARDS! Attempting to sue a popular YouTuber who has grown their business by performing highly recommended tutorials and products simply because she is a trump supporter. Will NEVER EVER have anything to do with your products EVER!
